A Practical Guide to Digitalization and Connected Smart Factories - Sanjay Rajan, Siemens
As companies evaluate their journey towards Digitalization they learn quickly that there are a countless ways to get started with a whole list of companies claiming to lead the way. The typical questions that we are asked are, what are the technology components of Industry 4.0 and the role of IIoT? Do you choose a single supplier or pick and choose best in class components and stitch them together? Where and how do you start that journey? How do we scale digitalization across multiple plants especially with different types of productions and a variety of age/brand of controls in manufacturing. While there isn’t a one-size fits all answer, companies want to understand best-practices, costs, ROI, length of the journey. This session attempts to provide some answers to manufacturing management on how to approach Industry 4.0 Digitalization initiatives with couple of practical examples.
