Solutions for Industrial Connectivity - Rich Toner, Moxa

Knowledge is not Power, Knowledge is Potential Power. Understanding how to use that Knowledge and apply it, measure its impact and consistently improve is what a Smart Factory all about.  Connecting your Legacy Assets gives you access to important data, so that it can be validated, by using Analytics so manufacturers can better understand what key performance indicators they should target. Discussions will include our Automation Ecosystem, and how Moxa had solutions that are Easy to Use, Interoperable with multiple PLC vendors, Industrial certifications, and all covered by the IEC 62443 Security Standard.

A Practical Guide to Digitalization and Connected Smart Factories - Sanjay Rajan, Siemens

As companies evaluate their journey towards Digitalization they learn quickly that there are a countless ways to get started with a whole list of companies claiming to lead the way.  The typical questions that we are asked are, what are the technology components of Industry 4.0 and the role of IIoT?  Do you choose a single supplier or pick and choose best in class components and stitch them together?  Where and how do you start that journey?  How do we scale digitalization across multiple plants especially with different types of productions and a variety of age/brand of controls in manufacturing.  While there isn’t a one-size fits all answer, companies want to understand best-practices, costs, ROI, length of the journey.  This session attempts to provide some answers to manufacturing management on how to approach Industry 4.0 Digitalization initiatives with couple of practical examples.
